The deep structure and physical state of the earth's crust in the North-Western part of the altai-sayan folded area according to magnetotelluric and geothermal studies
In this paper we present the results of magnetotelluric studies performed along two profiles crossing the Salair heat flow anomaly in latitudinal and southeastern directions. The anomaly is located to the south of Novosibirsk (Russian Federation, Siberian Federal District) in Western Siberia and is delineated by isolines of heat flow of up to 30 mW/m2. According to seismic and geothermal studies a vast at depths of more than 10 km relatively cooled area of development of high-strength and high-energy rocks. According to magnetotelluric soundings, a zone of anomalously high values of electrical resistivity, reaching more than 50,000 Ohm·m, can be traced at the same depth.
